What is Physical Therapy?
Orthopedics physical therapy focus on treating musculoskeletal conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, and ligaments, along with their impact on overall movement and function. What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy and hand therapy provide specialized, one-on-one rehabilitation for individuals with injuries, surgeries, or conditions affecting the upper extremity. Our Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) has advanced training in treating conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, thumb, and fingers.
Through individualized treatment plans, our CHT focuses on reducing pain, restoring strength and mobility, improving function, and helping patients safely return to daily activities, work, sports, and hobbies. Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, custom splinting, scar and swelling management, education, and targeted interventions designed to support recovery and prevent future injury.
What is Hand Therapy?
At our orthopedic clinic, we offer specialized hand therapy that focuses on the rehabilitation of injuries, surgeries, and illnesses affecting the hand and upper extremity. We focus on evaluating and treating conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder, utilizing techniques like exercises, manual therapy, splinting, and activity modifications to restore function and improve dexterity and strength in the upper extremity.
