[Platteville, WI] —- Southwest Health’s Orthopedic Institute is proud to welcome two new Orthopedic Surgeons from Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin. Dayton Opel, MD, and James Prosser, DO, are experienced surgeons that have already started treating patients at Southwest Health. Along with Joshua Lindsey, MD, they are helping to bring compassionate orthopedic care to the people of southwest Wisconsin and the surrounding area.
Dayton Opel, MD, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hand & Upper Extremity. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and has been treating patients for the past ten years. Dr. Opel’s practice focuses exclusively on conditions affecting the fingers to the shoulder. “My guiding principle is that every patient deserves world-class care. Through my education, training, and practice, I have been given the privilege and opportunity to change my patients’ lives positively.”
James Prosser, DO, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. He received his degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been treating patients for over 20 years. He has subspecialties in both primary and revision knee and shoulder arthroscopy. “I have the unique perspective of having had orthopedic surgery myself, being the parent of a child that had orthopedic surgery, and performing orthopedic surgery. I have seen and experienced it from all sides. I’m happy to provide care for people right here in Platteville.”
