Biography
James Prosser, DO, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. His practice is focused upon the arthroscopic treatment of complex knee and shoulder disorders with a large portion devoted to revision procedures. Dr. Prosser collaborates with product manufacturers to develop and perform cutting edge, minimally invasive surgical procedures including; the all-inside acl reconstruction, minimally invasive quadriceps tendon harvest, the arthroscopic Latarjet, and the arthroscopic ac joint reconstruction.
As a former high school, college, and professional athlete, Dr. Prosser brings a unique perspective to his practice. He has experienced sports injuries from various perspectives as an athlete, as a coach, as a parent, as a team physician, and as a sports medicine surgeon. This enables him to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, tailored to each individual’s injury, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Prosser enjoys spending time with his wife, three boys, and dog, Leo. They enjoy exploring new destinations, attending sporting events, and connecting with friends and family. In his spare time, Dr. Prosser enjoys working out, coaching baseball, and participating in Fantasy Football.
