MADISON – (June 3, 2025) — Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin (OSCW) is proud to announce that Dr. Brian Keyes, board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, is among the first to perform robotic-assisted anterior hip arthroplasty (surgery to repair or restore joint) using the Stryker Mako Robotic-Arm System. This advanced procedure uses a less invasive approach and state-of-the-art robotic technology, reducing muscle trauma and giving patients more precise surgery, faster recovery, and better results.
The Stryker Mako system creates a 3D model of the patient’s hip to help the surgeon plan the procedure and guide the surgery for the best fit and alignment of the new joint. This technology enhances surgical precision, potentially leading to better joint function and longevity.
